Dan
Beachy joined the staff at LIFE Ministries in June
of 1995. He spent 28½ years in health care at Fairfax
Hospital in the DC suburbs. By clinical training, a
registered respiratory therapist, he spent the last 20
years in management with a focus on personnel. Dan's
training after school was in interpersonal
relationships. Dan & Emma worked with hurting people in
their church, so the shift to work at LIFE felt like a
natural fit designed by God. After Lester's passing, the
Board appointed Dan to take over the leadership of LIFE
Ministries. Emma helps with the cleaning at LIFE. |

Rose Charles started her journey with LIFE Ministries in
1999, serving part-time as a counselor and continues to function in
this role. Prior to working at LIFE, she took classes at
Westminister Seminary in Philadelphia to complete a Biblical
counseling certificate. She considers it a deep privilege to sit
with persons in this supportive setting and finds fulfillment in
extending hope to others from the resources that she has herself
received. Her personal journey has been impacted by a battle with
cancer. She is presently praising God for the strength and physical
health she is enjoying. |

Vernon Esh, M.A., has been a full-time counselor with LIFE
Ministries since July, 2003. One of his ministry focuses is working
with men dealing with sexual addictions. He works with men's groups
and individuals looking for healing and restoration from sexual
brokenness. He loves being a husband to Darlene and Dad to their
four children. Along with his work and ministry
with people, Vernon enjoys playing a good game of hockey and biking. |

Sam Gingerich with a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling
has served at LIFE Ministries as a full-time counselor since 1999. Through experience and training, he focuses on issues in
marriage, grief, and depression. He also enjoys leading the
Counselor Training Workshops held every year. Originally from Plain
City, Ohio, he now resides in Conestoga with his wife, Cathie, and
their five children. |

Glenn Hoover, Lancaster, PA joined the staff in September,
2002. He serves part-time as Counselor and Director of Development.
Glen and his wife, Judy, have four children and seven grandchildren.
He is the contact person for churches, business owners, and others
with interest in the work of LIFE Ministries. He serves his church
as deacon and has
served on various school and ministry boards. |

Norma Martin, from Willow Street, PA has been with the
ministry since 1989. She serves as office manager and
her responsibilities include bookkeeping, receptionist and
secretarial tasks. Prior to working at LIFE, she served as secretary
for five years with Northern Youth Program in Ontario, Canada. Her
hobbies include traveling, photography, hiking and biking. |

Betty Miller, wife of Lester Miller (founder of LIFE
Ministries) enjoys serving as hostess for LIFE and domestics.
She thoroughly enjoys spending time with her four children, 16
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She has a passion to
minister to women through Bible studies and seminars. Betty has
experienced God’s faithfulness super, exceeding abundantly. |

Lamar Nolt and his family served as missionaries in Haiti for six years prior to working for LIFE Ministries for almost two years in Haiti. They now live in North Carolina. Lamar is chairman of the literature committee and travels to Haiti to assess needs and distribute literature. |

Mark Schlabach, from Conestoga, PA has been with the ministry
since 1999. He and his wife, Starla, have three children. He serves
as counselor as well as caretaker of the property. Mark has been
involved in prison ministry in the past. |

Sharon (Lantz) Shirk, is a mother to four and widow for 16
years following the death of her husband (Amos Lantz) in 1988. She
was a business woman before coming to LIFE as a counselor in 2000.
Her work at LIFE includes sitting with mothers, teenagers, widows
and other who are looking for a safe place to struggle with the
issues of life. Her marriage to Carl Shirk added four
children, three in-laws, and four grandchildren to the family
circle. In her words—“God has truly enlarged my borders above what I
could ask or think.” |

Elaine Yoder came to LIFE Ministries as a counselor in May of
1997. She received a Masters in Biblical Counseling at Colorado
Christian University. She is a registered nurse with experience in
emergency and psychiatric nursing. In addition to individual
counseling focusing on women’s issues with an emphasis on abuse,
depression and spiritual direction, Elaine enjoys working with small
therapy groups where women find personal presence and build
relationship skills. Elaine’s hobbies include photography, writing
and growing tropical plants and flowers. |

Vera Mae Zimmerman joined the staff team at LIFE Ministries in 2006. She serves as secretary one day a week or as needed. She is the wife of Richard, and mother of six children. Vera Mae enjoys sharing a cup of tea with friends around her dining room table. |
